Having recognized that I've been placing a lot of pressure on myself to post something every day both here and my small stone blog, my WOWH blog, responding and posting images at my iphoneography sites and my other lovely writing site, I find myself stretched a wee bit past where I'd like to be. Grateful to notice and so happy to have two days to simply be.

Saluting the Silence

Driving home from work, this is my view. Glorious mountains, apped, but no less poignant. There is a strength and equipoise that overtakes me as I draw on their greatness for my beingness.

Sitting with this beautiful koan from Elizabeth Mattis-Namgyel,..."what would happen if we habituated ourselves to staying open?" It isn't something I read and say, "Oh, what a lovely idea." No, I see it as my lifeline to freeing myself and experiencing true joy, not the teeter-totter of the emotions. I believe it wasn't until just now that I allowed myself that openness all day.
