DId You See It?
Did you too see it, drifting, all night, on the black river?
Did you see it in the morning, rising into the silvery air -
An armful of white blossoms,
A perfect commotion of silk and linen as it leaned
into the bondage of its wings; a snowbank, a bank of lilies,
Biting the air with its black beak?
Did you hear it, fluting and whistling
A shrill dark music - like the rain pelting the trees - like a waterfall
Knifing down the black ledges?
And did you see it, finally, just under the clouds -
A white cross Streaming across the sky, its feet
Like black leaves, its wings Like the stretching light of the river?
And did you feel it, in your heart, how it pertained to everything?
And have you too finally figured out what beauty is for?
And have you changed your life?
Did you see it in the morning, rising into the silvery air -
An armful of white blossoms,
A perfect commotion of silk and linen as it leaned
into the bondage of its wings; a snowbank, a bank of lilies,

Moving Quickly on the Inside
There's been a strong wind blowing through Santa Fe for the past three or four days; reflective of my state of mind/being. I'm moving quickly on the inside with Mercury in Gemini (my astrological home)...Uranus providing new and continuous/exciting ideas. Nothing feels familiar and I don't mean in a scary way, just fresh/different. My word for the year keeps reminding me how this time in my life is best worked with...being curious. I feel like I've only recently stepped into myself.
I am curious of my continuous discoveries.

Open the Eyes
There is a kind of standing-still quality, or stalemate, in which comments and remarks become unimportant, and seeing things as they are becomes the real thing.
- Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, "True Perception: The Path of Dharma Art"
There are many ways to view something; a new perception, thought, idea. When you're looking over here, something is happening over there. When you're looking over there something is occurring right before your eyes that you're not even recognizing. Open your eyes!
